Jis daate ne bakshi tainu sundar roop jawani ey; Isnu tun ik chin n bhulli jaat ehdi lasani ey. Oh satgur jo rab vikha de mange koi lekha na; Ese nun hi rab mannin khaain kadi bhulekha na. Sabh jean ton vadda toon eyn tera vi eh wali ey; Bandya tera jeevan fir vi yaad ehdi ton khali ey. Tainun homain rog hai bande tera kujh kasoor nahi; Toohiyon rab ton bemukh hoyain rab te taithon door nahin. Je toon man di hujjat chhad ke sadhoo sharnin aavenga; Kahe avtar ik chhin de andar jeevan mukti pavenga. |

God, the Donor, who has bestowed upon you the beauty and the youth; O' man, you should never forget Him even for a moment, His entity is matchless; The True Master who reveals God unto you, and does not ask for any account of your deeds; You must take him as God and let there be no delusion about it. You are the highest among all creatures, but God is your Master too; Even then, O' man, your life is bereft of His thought. In fact, O' man, you are afflicted with the disease of ego, you are to be blamed; Only you have turned your face from God, God is not away from you If you shed the cleverness of your mind, and seek shelter of the True Saint; Avtar says, you shall be liberated in a trice from being born again and again. |
Meaning
God, the Donor, who has bestowed upon you the beauty and the youth;
You should never forget Him even for a moment, His entity is matchless;
The True Master who reveals God unto you, and does not ask for any account of your
deeds;
You must treat him as God and never be mistaken about it.
You are supreme among all creatures, but God is your Master too;
Even then, O' man, your life is without of His thought.
In fact, O' man, you are badly affected with the disease of ego, and it is not your fault at all.
Only you have turned your face away from God, God is not away from you. If you shed the cleverness of your mind, and seek the shelter of the True Saint, you shall be liberated in a minute from being born again and again.
